Confronting personal trauma is synony-\u00a0 <\/span><span class=\"text_line\" data-position=\"7:8:46:6:0\" data-endposition=\"7:8:57:0:0\" data-complex=\"0\">mous with deprogramming from mass brainwashing. It demands courage; no one\u00a0 <\/span><span class=\"text_line\" data-position=\"7:8:57:0:0\" data-endposition=\"7:8:72:0:0\" data-complex=\"0\">wants their past to include humiliation. Before healing, we are left only with a vague <\/span><span class=\"text_line\" data-position=\"7:8:72:0:0\" data-endposition=\"7:8:84:0:0\" data-complex=\"0\">impression of horrendous shame, which, like a virus, is transmitted during the\u00a0 <\/span><span class=\"text_line\" data-position=\"7:8:84:0:0\" data-endposition=\"7:8:95:0:0\" data-complex=\"0\">abuse, and causes dissociation, denial, and other defense mechanisms to avoid\u00a0 <\/span><span class=\"text_line\" data-position=\"7:8:95:0:0\" data-endposition=\"7:8:107:0:0\" data-complex=\"0\">feeling it.
